The Ibex Inn is a cosy 18th century Gastro pub that is absolutely oozing with character, this beautiful and historic public house is situated in the tranquil countryside of Chaddleworth village, a convenient 12-minute drive from Newbury and 14 mins from the M4.
The Ibex has been recognised for winning awards including West Berkshire CAMRA Community pub. This incredible establishment is home to 2 luxurious en-suite guest rooms in our B&B, complete with an extremely comfortable, king size, award winning Emma Hybrid mattress finished with all anti-allergenic bedding for extra comfort and care.
The Ibex is the perfect place to sit down, enjoy a pint (or two if you are nit driving). And chill out in a relaxed and comfortable way. If you are peckish the restaurant do some top nosh. All served by staff who are friendly. The Ibex is a great place to have a drink while in the lovely downlands countryside.
Love the ibex. Amazing country atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We had two young children with us and they were fine about that which was great. The food is nice and well priced for what you get. They also have a B&B service which we plan to use later this year whilst in the area for a wedding.

Great to have the Ibex back open, even if it can only be for take aways at the moment due to Covid lock down. Nathan and Gavin are doing a super job, with delicious food and good offers, plus a delivery service. We've thoroughly enjoyed three different meals from them, including Gluten Free options; had a yummy battered Fish and chips made without gluten last night, nice work guys!! Definitely recommend.
We Had a great takaway from the ibex last night! we had Goats Cheese salad, Prawn cocktail followed by a Chicken burger and BBQ ribs & chips. everything was absolutely delicious! Generous portions too - look forward to eating here again.
